For the past few days, Churchmouse Campanologist has been examining sola Scriptura.

Today, the Reformed (Calvinist) theologian and pastor, R C Sproul, discusses sola Scriptura in light of Reformed theology in three engaging parts.  The first two are nine minutes apiece and the third is a little over four minutes long.

In Part 1, Dr Sproul explains how sola Scriptura came to be, citing Martin Luther at Worms.  Luther posited that it was possible for Popes and Councils to err, but Scripture itself is inerrant:

Part 2 compares Protestant and Catholic views of sola Scriptura within a historical perspective. Dr Sproul also discusses the relationship between sola Scriptura and Protestant confessions of faith:
