Happy Christmas, everyone!

Thanks to The Four Mass’keteers for featuring this stunning painting — ‘The Nativity’ by Federico Barocci (Baroccio) — which first appeared in my 2009 Boxing Day post. Barocci was born in the first half of the 16th century and died in 1612.

Several of my past posts feature Bible readings and sermons for Christmas Day:

The Christmas story in Matthew’s Gospel (hermeneutics)

Christmas Eve — Matthew 1:18-25 (with commentary from Albert Barnes)

The Christmas story according to St Luke

The Christmas story in Luke’s Gospel (hermeneutics)

Christmas Day — John 1:14 (with commentary from Matthew Poole)

Happy Christmas, one and all! (John 1:1-17)

Unto us a child is born

Compliments of the season to all my readers! (features Dr Paul Copan on the manger scene)

Martin Luther on the birth of Jesus

My very best wishes to all!
