A few weeks ago, President Donald Trump and Julian Assange connected on Twitter.
Throwing out a question, as he does, Trump received the following reply from Assange shortly afterwards.
The exchange took place on Monday, April 3, 2017. It concerns whether Hillary Clinton received a set of debate questions during the Democratic primary season from DNC operative Donna Brazile, who also worked for CNN at the time:
At that time, I thought that was excellent, hoping there will be more of those exchanges in future.
Since then, things have changed. CIA director Mike Pompeo strongly criticised WikiLeaks. President Donald Trump — who owes his victory in large part to WikiLeaks — followed suit.
On April 17, Roger Stone, a longtime friend of Trump and, briefly, his first presidential campaign manager, wrote (emphases mine):
Sadly, Donald Trump’s appointee of Director of Central Intelligence has clearly been conned by the Neo Con careerists at the CIA. Former Congressman Mike Pompeo was appointed at the behest of Vice President Pence who was friendly with Pompeo in the House. While Mr. Pompeo is a Harvard lawyer, his training at West Point was in mechanical engineering. Although he served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence at no time has he expressed any concern about the CIA’s sorry track record of insisting that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, that prisoners of war are not being tortured at Abu Ghraib prison, that the United States was farming terrorists out to 3rd party countries which utilized torture in a practice called rendition, that our mission in Benghazi was attacked by a mob whipped into a frenzy by an anti-Islamic video shown in Turkey, as well as the Intelligence agencies role in the collection of metadata on millions of Americans in violation of the US Constitution.
President Donald Trump said on Oct, 10, 2016 “I love Wikileaks” and Pompeo who previously had praised the whistleblowing operation now called Wikileaks “a non-state hostile Intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia”. Mr. Pompeo must be pressed to immediately release any evidence he has that proves these statements. If he cannot do so ,the President should discharge him.
Julian Assange issued the following statement:
Stone had more in his post:
After some soul searching I have elected to support the President’s limited incursion into Syria because of the strong geo-political message it sends the North Koreans, Iranians and Chinese. It also underlined the foolish of the entire “Russians helped Trump” narrative.
Acting on faulty intelligence endorsed by Director Pompeo, the President has now violated international law, the UN Charter and the War Powers Agreement with Congress. While he has won praise from hawks on both sides of the aisle, who have denounced him in the past, and has been lauded by the mainstream media, which holds him in contempt. A further expansion of the war in Syria would mean violation of end of the non-interventionism, the very concept that won Donald Trump the presidency. It would be the functional end of “Trumpism”.
The competence of Wikileaks, which has yet to release even one inauthentic email, compares very favorably with the performance of the CIA, which neither anticipated the collapse of the Soviet Union or the “terrorist attack” of 9/11. But not only is the public shortchanged by an agency that all-too-often misses either the boat or gets things wrong, its operations around the world have gone far beyond the scope of its charter. The agency is out of control.( See “The CIA’s Record of Duplicity” on the StoneCold Truth.com ) …
Assange is a hero who has rendered valuable service to the American people. Mr. Pompeo has demonstrated that he is far too gullible to serve as the CIA Director and will pretty much swallow anything that the spooks in Langley dish out to him despite the obvious lack of any hard evidence whatsoever. Clearly Mr. Pompeo should resign.
The folks at The_Donald, where a forensic examination of every Podesta WikiLeaks dump can be found, are equally disappointed in Pompeo. They think Trump should ask him to resign.
Trump won over a lot of twenty- and thirty-somethings who read The_Donald and their WikiLeaks analyses. Many of these people were Obama voters or Bernie supporters. Trump should be offering Assange residence in the United States — with no charges against him.
No, Assange isn’t perfect. Nor is Trump. Nor is Pompeo (obviously). However, let’s give credit where credit is due.
If Pompeo doesn’t like WikiLeaks’ Vault 7 releases over the past few weeks, he shouldn’t blame the messenger. He needs to look inside his own agency. They’re the ones who made that software available to all and sundry, for nefarious means.
Now Attorney General Jeff Sessions is getting in on the act.
I was disappointed to see the following in Trump’s interview with the AP of April 23:
AP: If I could fit a couple of more topics. Jeff Sessions, your attorney general, is taking a tougher line suddenly on Julian Assange, saying that arresting him is a priority. You were supportive of what WikiLeaks was doing during the campaign with the release of the Clinton emails. Do you think that arresting Assange is a priority for the United States?
TRUMP: When Wikileaks came out … never heard of Wikileaks, never heard of it. When Wikileaks came out, all I was just saying is, “Well, look at all this information here, this is pretty good stuff” …
AP: Can I just ask you, though — do you believe it is a priority for the United States, or it should be a priority, to arrest Julian Assange?
TRUMP: I am not involved in that decision, but if Jeff Sessions wants to do it, it’s OK with me. I didn’t know about that decision, but if they want to do it, it’s OK with me.
I do not think that Trump has the full information on all of this.
I do hope that someone fills him in. Steve Bannon must surely know. So must others within close proximity to the Oval Office.

I am concerned about certain aspects of Trump’s presidency.
Two things could be happening, in my opinion:
1/ He is surrounding himself with never-Trumpers and neo-cons to see for himself how they network, who they know, etc., before taking them down at some point in the future, once they get nice and comfy.
2/ Deep State/Neo-cons/NeverTrumpers are trying to inveigle themselves with him, assuring him he can trust them while trying to bring his presidency down bit by bit.
I have heard a lot about CoG — Continuity of Government — since the Inauguration. That means that people in power are pulling the strings in the background in order to bring him down. The Antifa crowds, especially in Berkeley, are part of that plan. All it would take would be for a ‘Trump supporter’ (false flag) to inflict serious injury on an Antifa, and CoG would say, ‘Sorry, his supporters are unstable, time for him to go’. Already last week, a group of mental health experts met to say Trump was mentally unstable.
This is a very dangerous time, as I’m sure you’ve gathered from my past posts. TPTB — Democrats, certain Republicans and Intelligence — are not going to give up easily.

Sessions is not “all in” for arresting Assange, and most of what the AP wrote about Sessions’ comment is pure “Fake News”! No other legitimate news source even printed anything about Sessions and the only info out there is all left-leaning or “neverTrumper” news! I am waiting for the video or a message from Trump saying he is going after Assange, but until then I will take it all with a grain of salt! I believe the CIA baited Assange and then created the rest of the fake news to take away from Trump’s soaring popularity ratings.
I do not and have not trusted Pompeo because he has left too many cracks in the floorboards for info to flow through to the press. Maybe this is purposeful but I have my doubts. And have you noticed how quickly the whole ordeal dies out?
If you will, please search; “Jeff Sessions wants to arrest Julian Assange”! You will find a lot of liberal dribble… and this one video that has been pushed overboard saying Sessions wants to arrest Assange! What Sessions did say was that after the press asked him about Pompeo and Wikileaks, Sessions said he was “stepping up the efforts to stop all leaks”! He never says he is going after Assange but he really “tip-toes” around the Assange issue!
Sessions does not want to go after Assange and neither does Trump! Trump says if Sessions arrests Assange that is ok with him…. Sessions does not want to arrest Assange so Trump was very aware he was on firm footing when he made the statement, and he knew Assange would not be arrested! Not by Sessions, anyway.
Sessions, in this 17-minute video, mentions the “Leaks” after his last question at 15:56 on the video and then speaks of it for about 15 seconds, and he never says Assange’s name, once! …
Sorry for being so long winded but you always have the most interesting and challenging topics! 🙂 And sometimes I just can’t help myself! 🙂

Thank you for the video, which I hadn’t seen. I especially appreciate your telling me at what precise point the Assange question comes in!
‘Sessions does not want to arrest Assange so Trump was very aware he was on firm footing when he made the statement, and he knew Assange would not be arrested! Not by Sessions, anyway.’ I hope you are right!
Just to make it clear: for the record, since the inauguration, I have not been reading much from Big Media or the Left outside of the occasional foray into Jack Pine Radicals (anti-HRC). I did not see anything in what I read in any of those places about Sessions wanting to arrest Assange, by the way. I picked that up solely from the AP transcript. Trump didn’t deny it. Again, thanks for the video.
I have grave concerns about McMaster and Ivanka (refugee speech). What about you?
I am glad you stopped by to comment and I thank you for your closing compliment.
I am sorry to read that anyone with legitimate concerns about the Trump administration cannot freely express them elsewhere without being termed a troll. Therefore, I am delighted when you stop by to discuss the issues of the day.
The other thing I am worried about are the rogue elements in his cabinet who might try to get him to go to Saudi Arabia. No, please, no! If you can debunk that one for me, I would be most grateful.
LATER EDIT — I forgot to include the link below. Check out the photo:

I am also worried about McMaster and Ivanka being involved with the refugee problems at hand! I see McMaster doing an “about-face”, going against PDJT wishes and campaign promises! He could be a globalist plant! He is definitely breaking rank with President Trump and this is the best article I have read to date when it comes to explaining who McMaster truly is and supports.
http://newswithviews.com/Nelson/kelleigh397.htm
Ivanka (I believe) will ultimately cave to her father’s final decisions but she also has his ear and he listens to her intently! She is a business woman but she still sits on the left-leaning fence having been raised in NY, a liberal bastion and “Hillary’s Town”! I also worry about the fact that she has an office in the White House along with her husband who is also a democrat contributor and has many friends in “high” liberal/globalist places! I guess/hope that maybe President Trump wants to keep his family close during these trying and unsafe times, but just how much pull his family has is yet to be seen… And it is worrisome none the less. 😦
McMaster and the rest of PDJT’s selected White House employees do boggle the mind. I feel this is the work of Reince Priebus, and I wonder if President Trump is even aware that those being placed in positions of trust around him, actually hate him and everything about him..? And I also have that nagging feeling that Obama has infiltrated the WhiteHouse with Diana Powell…
Also, if PDJT is considering a trip to Saudi Arabia, it seems to be only a rumor right now. Of all the articles I have read, I get this quote:
“U.S. President Donald Trump may add a visit to Saudi Arabia to a trip to Europe in May in what will be his first overseas journey since becoming president, a senior administration official said on Wednesday.
Such a trip is “being discussed,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.” ~Reuters

http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/saudi-arabia/trump-visit-to-saudi-arabia-being-discussed-1.2014545
The “Bagdad Post” says Mattis himself said Trump would visit SA but I cannot find that speech anywhere!
http://www.thebaghdadpost.com/en/story/9625/Trump-to-include-Saudi-Arabia-to-first-foreign-tour-in-May
No name or comment from an actual official, so I will wait until I hear it from Spicer or President Trump… Or an official with a name to back up the statement!! Sean Spicer says they may take a side trip to the Vatican but he has not mentioned Saudi Arabia as of yet… That would be so very disappointing… 😦

Thank you very much for your further comment and links.
I agree with everything you say, 110%.
That said: Where is PDJT on Antifa in Berkeley?
On the other hand, PJDT has so much to battle against right now. I only wish we could discuss it on more websites. Oh, well. These can be discussed here, as and when.
We will continue to pray for our Commander in Chief. May God’s grace continue to shine upon him and may the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to enlighten President Trump as to his judgement as well those of the rights and wrongs of his administration, through Jesus Christ our Lord, our only Redeemer, Mediator and Advocate. Amen.

Oh my! The plot is always thickening- When will DC settle down? They bring up or create all these little things- but really these are diversions to what the political rascals are up to, and the criminal things they’ve done. As one reporter said, here in Chicagoland, all the reporters kiss up to the Democrats in power because if they don’t, they won’t be invited to all the big wealthy fabulous parties the powerful have. “Let’s see” scratches head. “If I tell the truth, and report the news, without bias, I get no parties, and I will be ostracized. Hmm, tough decision- no more being wined and dined like a barbie princess…” There should be a separation of Media and State.

Precisely. The Illinois Combine is a force with which to be reckoned.
‘As one reporter said, here in Chicagoland, all the reporters kiss up to the Democrats in power because if they don’t, they won’t be invited to all the big wealthy fabulous parties the powerful have.’ Yes, and they will also be out of a job, even if they’re, say, a Chicago-based Republican working in PR for the state GOP. (Hypothetical, but plausible.) I would enjoy seeing all of that unravelled, no matter where it exists: Chicago, DC, California, etc.
Have you noticed more Chicagoans moving out to the suburbs within the past 10 years — and more Democratic majorities in previously Republican areas as a result?? If you have any insight on that, I’d enjoy reading it.

“Leaving Chicago for the suburbs?” Actually, more like LEAVING the STATE of ILLINOIS!!! We’re one of the few states losing population; Not a good sign! Our property taxes here are insane. Even Liberal California has a cap of 1% of home value is property tax amount.
“…California’s overall property taxes are below the national average. The average effective property taxrate in California is 0.81%, compared with a national average of over 1.1%.””
“The state of Illinois has the second highest property taxes in the country. The statewide average effective tax rate is 2.13%, nearly double the national average” People don’t believe our property taxes. And often it is the poor most violated in this way. There are some homes devalued (in BIG part due to insane property taxes) selling at only $8,000″ dollars and Illinois is saying they’re worth more and taxing them at $2,000 per year. that’s a 25% rate. CORRUPTION, WASTE, AND GREED.
Many of my friends have left Illinois, Most retirees leave because they can’t afford to stay. Sad.

Thank you for your considered reply, MicheleMarie. I very much appreciate it.
Please accept my sincere apologies for not responding sooner. This was a bank holiday weekend here, so my time online has been a bit hit and miss.
I’m thinking of the ballooning population and housing increase in the western suburbs roughly along the Ronald Reagan toll road (I-88?). The area between Highway 59 (Naperville/Lisle) and Aurora has mushroomed in the past 25 years. This would encompass DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties.
Even my better half, who is English, remembers seeing large swathes of farmland in the early 1990s. Almost all of that is now subdivisions and strip malls that stretch for miles.
What the heck?! Who is buying these houses? No one knows. Just to have an answer, most people say, ‘It’s people who work in Chicago’. Good grief. A lot of people are making a lot of money all of a sudden, getting into the city from quite a distance.
This growth took off even more during the Obama years. We can’t figure it out.

That area around Naperville is a very nice and pricy area- there are still nice areas in Illinois. Like I said, many of the poorer areas have been hit hardest- Population is decreasing in Illinois as many poor and middle class can’t afford the taxes…Population is decreasing here: not a good sign.

Agreed.
Plus, how will they be able to pay teachers’ pensions. That’s been going on for around eight years or so.

I was going to write that in my earlier comment but didn’t want to risk offending you.
I hope my friends in and around Chicago — all of whom are anti-Trump — can see what’s happening.
